Devine Blinds and Drapery is based in St. Albert, but we also serve many communities that require our help when it comes to completing their home with accent draperies and window coverings.

One of the things I see a lot when dealing with customers, is they are not very sure of what to do when it comes to draperies. This is where we come in. Devine Blinds and Drapery takes a lot of pride in assisiting our customers to make sure they make the proper decisions.

Accent Drapery

This is a huge business for us. Accent drapery is used to complement a current window covering and in most cases adding the drapery will bring a lot of life to a room. I really believe when looking at accent drapery you have to follow some solid rules. If your covering is solid, then I beleive it’s important that we go with a drapery that has some texture. I do get customers who ask if it’s OK to go with solid/solid when it comes to the accent drapery. There are some cases where I believe this is a good look, but I also feel those must be special circumstances.

All designers have their own way of looking at things and I try to stay with what I was taught and that is using the KISS method. You can really go outside of the box if you really want to, but when it comes time to explain, you might have a tough time. “Because I wanted it that way”, could make your room look unattractive in the long run.
